This high waisted and high cut retro bikini recipe is designed to fit all body types. The recipe format allows for endless customization options.
Construction The bottoms are worked top down, beginning with the fold over waistband. Next, the back and fronts are worked flat separately and are sewn together at the crotch. The top is worked bottom up, beginning with the bra band. Then, each cup is worked separately.
Yarn Stats Dk weight yarn or fingering held double. I do not recommend using cotton/cotton blends as it does not have enough stretch. It will also absorb water and sag.
Yarn amounts depend completely on your measurements. I used about 800 yards of fingering weight held double and I have a 37 in bust and a 30 in waist.
Size This bikini is meant to fit all sizes and genders. Just plug in your numbers using the worksheet that is included in the pattern.
Gauge 6 to 7 stitches per inch in stockinette.
Notions 1/2 inch elastic waistband
